Mahkatop – PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) won the Indonesia Domestic Technology & Operations Bank of the Year award at the Asian Banking & Finance (ABF) Wholesale Banking Awards 2024. The award was announced on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu stated that the award motivates the company to continually improve its services. He mentioned that this achievement is proof of BTN’s well-structured and planned digital transformation.
BTN’s Director of Information Technology, Andi Nirwoto, added that this award showcases BTN’s capability in utilizing information technology to provide reliable and efficient banking services. He explained that BTN prioritizes the use of information technology in all operational aspects, from customer service to transaction processing efficiency.
BTN focuses on sustainable innovation, including the adoption of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to enhance services, making them smarter, faster, and more efficient. To support this, BTN allocates around 8% of its budget for the development of information technology, covering areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Open API, and Machine Learning.
Andi emphasized that innovation is the foundation that positions BTN as a leading bank in information technology implementation in Indonesia. This investment in IT innovation aims not only to accelerate technology at BTN but also to advance the financial services sector in Indonesia. (*)
