Mahkatop — Muttaqin Harahap, the Head of the Medan District Attorney’s Office (Kejari Medan), confidently led the initiative to implement subscription parking for its employees. Currently, 80% of Kejari Medan employees have adopted the subscription parking system provided by the Medan City Government, as a measure to support local revenue programs and comply with stricter parking regulations.
On Friday (8/4), Muttaqin Harahap, together with Iswar Lubis, the Head of Medan City Transportation Agency, symbolically installed parking barcodes on employees’ vehicles at the Kejari Medan building compound. Muttaqin explained that out of the total employees who have subscribed to the parking service, 90 use cars and 80 use motorcycles.
“This step is not only a legal obligation but also our support for the Medan City Government’s program to optimize local revenue,” Muttaqin stated.
Kejari Medan is committed to ensuring transparency in parking management, emphasizing that vehicles parked in subscription areas must display valid subscription parking stickers. This effort aligns with the goal of reducing illegal parking fee collections at various spots.
“By adhering to regulations and actively contributing to Medan’s development, we hope this initiative will positively impact parking management efficiency and overall local revenue,” Muttaqin added.
Iswar Lubis from the Medan City Transportation Agency affirmed that the newly launched subscription parking program is a strategic move to enhance order and fairness in the city’s parking system. He also guaranteed that all parking attendants assigned to subscription parking areas will receive official salaries from Medan City’s Budget, demonstrating the commitment to improving service for the community.
“This is a significant step forward for Kejari Medan and Medan City as a whole in achieving better development goals,” concluded Iswar Lubis. (*)
